Storm Safety & Resources

This week’s severe storms swept through our City and Region with winds as high as over 80 miles per hour. Trees and power lines were knocked down, and there was structural damage all over. The graphic above are some safety tips from Columbus City Council on how to stay safe in the aftermath of Tuesday's storm.

Here are a few more important updates from the City of Columbus:

  • If you’ve sustained damage to your home or property, please report it here: LINK

  • Yard waste pick up is 8/20: For branches to be collected through the curbside yard-waste program, they must be:

    • Less than 4 feet long

    • Less than 4 inches in diameter

    • Tied into bundles with string or twine

    • Bundled no more than 2 feet wide

    • Less than 50 pounds per bundle

Please be safe, and if possible check on your neighbors.
